I was sent a sample of Deisel’s new cologne, Only The Brave and passed it along to my friend Scott who kindly agreed to review it for me. Read on below to find out his thoughts on the scent!

Diesel “Only the Brave”: A dude’s review
I’m not much of a “product” using guy.  Maybe it was one too many baths in Polo or Drakkar when I was a teenager, or the futility of getting my hair to look cool with gel or mousse in it.  Whatever the reason, I’m generally not one to wear anything fancier than deodorant and a flannel shirt. So when I got a sample of Diesel’s “Only the Brave” cologne, it was surprising that it didn’t instantly wind up perfuming my trash.
I’d been feeling like I needed to change my normal routines, though, so I decided to give it a try.  I put a little bit on before going out with some friends.  I was mildly surprised.
The scent was subtle, not fruity and overpowering, and it didn’t choke me with alcohol fumes.  It actually smelled… decent to me.  Shocker! After a little while it mellowed to the point where I was only vaguely aware that I was wearing man-perfume.  That was a good thing in my opinion.  Some ladies that had come out to meet us actually asked what cologne I was wearing and were very complimentary about it.  Also a good thing.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not going to start dousing myself in the stuff on a regular basis.  But if there is some kind of special occasion, the kind that requires cuff links and a tie tack, the kind that might involve scent-loving members of the opposite sex… well, I might have to hit that particular bottle again.

It’s no secret that I am a lip balm junkie so needless to say when I was sent a sample of Honeysuckle Honeydew lip balm by eos, I was beyond thrilled.  There is never a lip balm far from my grasp and not having one often results in a panic stricken moment. I don’t let those moments happen very often. Do I have a problem? Perhaps, but I also know my stuff when it comes to lip balm.  Once you are finished cooing over the very cool sphere shape of the eos lip balm, you really will enjoy the amazing, all natural goodness that is inside the cute packaging.  The only downside of the sleek, spherical packaging is that you can’t stick it in the pocket of your jeans but the bright color is easy to locate in your bag and the sphere does stand nicely on flat surfaces.  I was sent a sample of the product in Honeysuckle Honeydew and it was a perfect blend of flavors. There is no waxy or overpowering feel to the lip balm which usually happens with fruity flavors.  This product by eos is crisp, light and smooth which could be a result of the fact that the lip balm is USDA-certified organic and is made with no parabens or petrolatum.  It’s also 100% natural. Not a bad combination!! The lip balm also comes in Summer Fruit and Sweet Mint flavors as well. The Lip Balm Smooth Spheres are available at major drugstores and retailers nationwide and cost under $4.00. The products are also NOT tested on animals and are stocked with jojoba oil, shea butter and vitamin E.  Go out and pick up an eos Lip Balm Smooth Sphere today!

Blogging seems to be the activity that has been pushed aside while I push on. So has my creative writing actually. I have finished a story and just need to type it out, but I’m finding the amount of time I’m spending staring at a screen is not normal. Too much. At work, I’ve taken to moving as much as possible and looking away from the computer whenever I can. I feel like my brain is on delay and I’m trying to stimulate myself anyway possible. I’d also like to know when I grew up cuz I’m not sure I exactly noticed it happen until now.
