The day started freaky and has continued in the same fashion. I have been on overdrive, I know I am bound to get sick and I don’t see the push and pull from the universe stopping. Mike asked me last night which of my activities I am going to cut back when school starts in a few weeks and first I laughed and said none. After a moment, I realized I would be cutting out one, MY SOCIAL LIFE. LOL. I thought it was pretty hilarious. I’m looking forward to a nice relaxing evening at home tonight that is for sure.

Dallas was fun and the VIP tour of Cowboys Stadium was AWESOME and that post and great pics will be coming soon!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

xoxo

Oh and PS? If you get married and are in college? Don’t change your name with FAFSA until the following year because it will create a MESS. Trust me, I spent my whole morning on it.

Got into hazy, humid Dallas this morning and checked into the Gaylord Texan. This hotel is seriously unreal, it’s huge, connected to the convention center, and is like a million little cities all trapped in a giant atrium. http://www.gaylordhotels.com/gaylord-texan/ Seriously, check it out.  It’s totally cool and totally strange at the same time. It’s  like living in biodome.  Minus Pauly Shore. Medicore Mexican food for lunch, amazing margaritas on the rocks and great conversation wrapped up the afternoon and I’m now getting ready to hit up a restaurant/club called the Crystal Cactus and enjoy the evening.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday!

View from my room isn’t too shabby!!  :)

Little touches like this ALL over the place. It’s gonna be cool to see what I notice.

Where did this week GO? While catching myself up on a few things, housework, laundry, book reviews, blog stuff, etc., I feel like I pushed myself back further in other areas. I leave on Saturday for a trade show in Dallas and I have yet to pack one item or even look at what I am taking.  I’m excited to go to Dallas, I have never been, and I am travelling with two coworkers whose company I actually enjoy. Should be a good time, and the fact that the hotel has a lazy river doesn’t exactly hurt either. :)

This summer flew. And while I enjoyed it, did everything I wanted to do and more, I don’t feel that I really got into summer at all this year. I don’t think I had time and I guess maybe I just wasn’t interested in it? While I know that sounds crazy, I almost feel like it was marked by holidays and travel, and then life just  gets sucked back into your flow even though it is blistering hot and steamy, you kinda just continue along. I like fall, I always have and I’m honestly ready to welcome it back. Also fall means means FOOTBALL.

Last night Mike and I went to Home Depot after going out to dinner and picked up a few things. As we were standing there, I asked Mike if he ever thought that someday we would be standing and looking at light fixtures together. He laughed and gave me a hug, fully knowing that I am deathy afraid of becoming lame. Again, balance, balance, balance. Well functioning adult, homeowner etc, does not in fact make you lame. I think it just makes you a grown up. And maybe I have trouble with that and I probably always will.

I first heard about Carol’s Daughter in a magazine, then received a press release about the line a few weeks later. My hair is thick and unruly, even though it is not curly, and I am so happy that I heard about the brand.
I was sent a few products from the Monoi line, all in the Repairing family, which is fantastic as that is often what my hair needs the most. There are times when even after detangling spray, an adequate brushing and blow dry and then hair oil, I still find giant tangles in my hair. As I have said many times before, my hair is unruly and has a mind of its own. Carol’s Daughter helped tame the beast and made my sun soaked, and probably ruined locks feel fresh again.

Each item ranges from $18-$30.00 and smells fantatic. My hair was smooth, I used all three so I am not sure if removing a product from the combo changes results, and I was tangle free. Which for me, is impressive. I also dye my hair and my hair felt SO refreshed after use. I also LOVE that the products are natural and not full of a bunch of harsh chemicals or byproducts For more information and other products from the line, like skincare for example, be sure to check out www.carolsdaughter.com

Disclosure:  I was provided these products for free in exchange for review.  All opinions are my own.
