Putting on the Glitz

Every year around this time everything is MAKE YOUR HOLIDAY SPARKLE. GLAM UP YOUR HOLIDAY WARDROBE. SPARKLY BITS AND BAUBLES FOR YOUR HOLIDAY. I swear, there has to be a room at every major fashion magazine that is just full of recycled and overused tag lines. Don’t get me wrong. I love me some sparkle and I love all things glittery. I just wish there would be a new and interesting way to present it. The best thing though is that glitz and glitter can be added to anything from dresses and shoes, to bracelets and nail polish. I seriously wonder if I am going to end up an old lady just dripped in faux diamonds and glittery sweatshirts. It’s entirely possible. Where did the overabundant use of sequins and sparkles at holiday time even originate from? When you’re little you wear velvet, then as an adult do you just graduate to sparkle? Maybe it’s a right of passage. Anyways, I hope this weekend to find MY HOLIDAY SPARKLE for my families formal Christmas eve dinner. Bring on the glitter and bring on the sparkle!! Maybe I’ll fill ALL of my Christmas cards with glitter. GLITTER bombs for all!
