Hello Hello! Happy Halloween weekend to all!

My sister Holly had her Halloween party a few weeks ago so I won’t be dressing up this weekend, aside from either a tiara or sequin Minnie Mouse ears to pass out candy at home tomorrow, but I wanted to share a few pics from that party. The party at which, ahem, Mike and I won best couple and best overall!! We went as Wayne and Garth and seriously could not stop laughing all night.  I spent most of the night walking around saying “excuse me, I’d like to get by now” and offering people my crushed dixie cup in my front pocket in case they needed to spew. It was classic. And this being the second year in a row that Mike has won, (last year he was Delonte West), next year we need to think of something GREAT. Clearly I was trying to be as Garth-ish as possible lol.

And finally our victory trophy!!! Last night my good pal Em came over and we watched Halloween H20 and ate candy and gossiped. Tonight I’m going to the Cavs game with two of my faves and then I hope we can have a fire outside later. Tomorrow I am more than pumped to pass out candy at my house.,  First time as a homeowner!! Very exciting. Now let’s hope we actually get some kids :)

And don’t forget they say that the veil between worlds is the thinnest this time of year. So be on the lookout for all things spooky and bewitching! Have a GREAT weekend everyone! xoxo

I’ve been lazy, unmotivated, uninspired, and sick so I haven’t been blogging. I’m working on fixing all of those issues. I’ve also been dogsitting at my brothers and while I don’t mind exactly, I do miss my house and my routine.

Hope everyone is doing well! And I’ll be back soon to annoy you with timewasters and randomness soon.

xoxo

My eyes are not focusing today for some reason and all my brain seems to be focusing on is all the stuff I need to be doing that doesn’t involve sitting at my desk. Typical. It always happens that way, slow at work and a million things to do outside of work. And of course, it’s stunning outside. The leaves are changing, the sun is shining, and I have a great weekend ahead of me. If of course, I can survive my 8 hour work day. I’m in a good mood, attempting valiantly, to ignore office gossip and happy hour recaps (because I don’t care) and instead daydream, catch up on blogs, and make lists of all the things I need to do. I looovveee making lists. Tonight we are going out to dinner, tomorrow I’m running errands and going to attempt to go to the Herb Festival at the Cleveland Botantical Garden before catering, and Sunday we are going apple picking with my family. Which, I am super excited about. I love fall.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

xx

**This week, seems to be forever.

**I feel like I have put wedding planning on a major hold after I did all the major stuff. I really need to get to work on that.

**Sometimes the universe has weird ways of putting things in your face. Little reminders that you aren’t alone and that the world is MUCH greater than what is in front of your face.

**It makes me sad when good, strong people have to endure hardships. But it also makes me inspired to see them endure these situations with their heads held high. I often times wonder if I would ever be capable of doing the same.

**I feel like I’m teetering on the edge of getting massively sick and I cannot let this happen.

**It’s hard to sleep when a 65 pound dog and two cats decide they want to sleep with you too.

**Our good health is something I think we all take advantage of. I think we often only pay attention when things are bad and then get better, never stopping to appreciate all the times we are well. My heart goes out to those who are suffering with ailments.

**I often wish I could have a career helping people. One that wouldn’t make me cry every day because I couldn’t do enough to help everyone.

**I have been very nostalgic lately. VERY. The littlest things have been reminding me of the past and people.

**This new moon is giving me weird dreams. Like REALLY weird.

**Anyone ever feel like they are just hovering in a weird place?

I took a personal day yesterday and Mike and I went to Amish Country. So fun. We got a lot of great stuff, ate some great food, and as usual, laughed our asses off over a lot of stuff. Bit of romantic advice? Never be with anyone that does not make you laugh.  I feel like I now need a day off to recover from my day off, but no rest for the wicked. I finished the first short story I have written in years today. I am very pleased with it too.  Ideas have been brewing and I think, thanks to some inspiration from a short story collection by Miranda July, I am going to start working on a collection. Even if no one ever reads it, I feel I should write it. It’s a good feeling to have.

Hope the week is moving along nicely for everyone.

I had heard about the Suave Professionals line awhile ago and had made a note to try the line but just finally got around to testing a few products out. I was sent Suave Professionals Weather Protection 365 Hairspray and Suave Professionals Rosemary Mint Shampoo and Suave Professionals Rosemary Mint Conditioner and since I have long hair that’s a very weird texture, I LOVE trying new hair products. (A lot of time I think my hair simply gets used to products and then they stop doing what they are supposed to so I love mixing up my hair care routine.) The idea behind the Suave Professionals line is that all products in the line are comparable to major brand name salon products for a fraction of the price.  The 365 Hairspray is comparable to Matrix Biolage and the Rosemary Mint Shampoo and the Rosemary Mint Conditioner are comparable to Aveda.

As I’ve said many times before my hair is strange. It’s fine, yet think, wavy, yet straight, and it gets tangled easily. Basically, the ideal hair product for my mop is anything I don’t NOTICE 5 hours after using it. That exact reason is why I really liked the Weather Protection 365 hairspray. It smells like the beach, (SO GOOD), and it holds without making my hair crunchy. Besides protecting against humidity and other elements it really does add volume. It’s around $3.99 and I highly suggest it for anyone looking for a hairspray that works and doesn’t have a chemical smell.

The Suave Professionals Rosemary Mint Shampoo may very well have become my new favorite. It smells exactly like the Aveda product, yet not as strong and seriously works just as well. My hair is sleek, yet textured, a HUGE selling point for me, and the grease is staying away. The scent is pleasant too and not overbearing at all.   It lathers nicely and makes my hair more manageable after I get out of the shower. The conditioner is light and really smoothes very well. The best part was, my hair actually FEELS clean after use. I only use a teenie tiny bit of conditioner so the nice sized bottle will last me awhile too. Both the shampoo and conditioner are around $3.99 as well.  Both are also made with 100% natural products as well.

Suave Professional products can be found at major retailers and drugstores nationwide.
