**www.solestruck.com is the best shoe website there is. Search by your size in the sale section. I have like 10 things on my wish list.

**Went to a free lecture at the Cleveland Art Museum last night on Egyptian art. I’ve always been a fan of all things Ancient Egyptian so this was great and very interesting.

**Looking up honeymoon destinations makes me want to be there NOW.

**It’s really sweet when you find and article of clothing you have been looking for FOREVER. Now, they won’t have my size lol.

**I’m super antsy today.

**I don’t like that a lot of blogs I have followed for years suddenly have turned into “Daily Outfit” sites. I don’t CARE where your t-shirt is from or how COOL you think your flower headband is, I want to know what you are DOING.  ANNOYING.

**This full moon has REALLY made all of the crazies come out.

**I need a spa day.

**It’s funny how when you have to go somewhere you don’t want to, it can ruin your day.

**Certain songs will always remind me of very exact people.

**Reality TV “stars” bother me.

**because I follow Paris Hilton on Twitter, my day is often ruined while I am in a cube and she is on a shopping spree at Chanel.

**I am ready for football season. GO BROWNS.

**Jimi and Kat let me borrow about 7 books yesterday. I firmly intend to read them all before school starts on August 30th. GO!

I am a horrible sleeper. It’s not that I can’t sleep. It’s just the opposite. I sleep HARD. And it exhausts me. Shouldn’t sleep REFRESH me? While I do have insomnia every now and then, for the most part I sleep like someone just slipped me a magic potion that will make me not move for 6 hours.  I hate it.  If I get too much sleep, it’s terrible, if I get the right amount of hours, I’m still a zombie.  So maybe I should just not sleep lol, I may have better results.  And does anyone else ever find that when someone ASKS you if you crabby, (and you are not), you instantly become crabby?  I do.  I think it may be time that I just start waking up at the same time every day. Or at least trying too. I cannot go to bed early, but maybe if I put myself on a set wake up time, I will not feel like I just took 4 roofies every morning when I get up.  I have blogged about my sheer envy of morning people. And those that utilize the precious moments in the morning before their day begins. I need to join this club. Instead of grabbing my Plain Dealer while juggling my purse, my green tea (if I have time to make it), my lunch bag, my purse and whatever random thing I am carrying, and just tossing the paper in my car, perhaps I could actually read it in the morning. So I am going to try. Even if I only last a day or two, I am going to try to get up at the same time every day and BE PRODUCTIVE.  It takes what two weeks to start a habit? So I have to at least try to, maybe it’s time to stop hitting my snooze about 55 times every morning. We’ll see.

Today was a long day. Mondays that follow a jam-packed weekend usually are. I worked a catering job on Saturday, worked out every day of the weekend(QUITE the accomplishment in my opinion), and ran around like a crazy person all weekend. As usual. So needless to say, today hit and I was sore, out of sorts, and just generally blah while sitting at my desk today.  As I have said before, there are some days when sitting for 8 hours in front of a computer can be utterly exhausting. Today was one of those days even though I wasn’t exactly overwhelmed with work.  But I digress. After grabbing dinner with Mike, I needed some SERIOUS unwind time.

I have always been a fan of baths as the go to method for relaxation and contemplation time.  Soaps, bubbles, soaks, and salts. Bring them on. I will happy try them and enjoy every last minute of them.  So when I was given the opportunity to test and review Dr. Teal’s Therapeutic Solutions in “Relax”, I was ecstatic.  And today was the PERFECT day to do just that. The combination of spearmint and eucalyptus was enticing to me, especially after I discovered a few weeks ago that using straight eucalyptus essential oil in the bath literally makes your entire house smell, but the combination of the two scents in the Dr. Teal’s bath salts was a perfect blend. Strong, yet subtle.  This combination is ideal to both relax and rejuvenate.  Combining epsom salts, (seriously look up the benefits of soaking in them), with spearmint and eucalyptus, Dr. Teal’s soothed my weary body, made me loosen up, and at the same time made my skin GLOW.  Usually, three separate products would be needed to achieve all three of these feats, but with “Relax”, it was all taken care of in 20 minutes.  Dr. Teal’s has a whole variety of essential oil infused bath salts to choose from and I intend to try them all. Also, there is no oily or filmy residue left behind, which I have often seen with some bath products. Instead, you are only left with super smooth, soft skin.

A few other great points: the large bag (about 3lbs) is resealable, it’s around $4.99 a bag at major drugstores, it’s not tested on animals, and Dr. Teal’s has a whole slew of other equally amazing products.  I for sure need to try the lotion and peppermint foot soak as well.

FINALLY saw the new Alice in Wonderland last night. Loved. Loved. Loved it. I’ve always loved the Disney version and am a huge Tim Burton fan so this was totally ideal.  Only person I did not like was Anne Hathaway. She annoys me. Always has. Anyways,  I would watch it about 400 more times and I am for sure buying it.  Fantastic.  That is all.

Have a great and totally MAD Saturday! xx

**This week is forever

**We have a healthy living offsite meeting today at work. It’s being catered by an italian restaurant. Cuz pasta is so healthy right?

**I’m still mad about LeBron.

**I need a new celebrity crush.

** Been getting back into watching movies lately. Finally.

**Reading up on conspiracy theories is always entertaining.

**I will be having Italian twice today. And I’m okay with that. : )

**Time flies SO fast when you grow up. As kids, why do we ever want to grow up?

**I need to start writing down what books I let people borrow.  I can never remember who has what.

**I panic when any member of my animal family has to go to the vet. How the hell would I ever handle children. lol

**My puppy is now 54 pounds. And every bit of a lap dog that she thinks she is.

xx

Ever feel like you are pushing, pushing, pushing against absolutely nothing at all? I do. And I know about 10 other people feeling the exact same way right now. Sometimes I think with working 40 hours a week, the routine blurs your daily life. What is actually your life outside of your job or career. (And yes there is a difference between a job and a career).  It is damn near impossible to cram your life into two and a half days of the weekend. And weeknights fly so fast, you look up from reading a magazine and suddenly it’s 10 pm. Time flies.  Just usually not when you are spending serious face time with a computer for 8 hours a day.

It’s no secret that this summer is FLYING by. So I have decided to DO as much as I possibly can before I am buried under notebook paper and crazy schedules. Although I will admit, I do miss my crazy schedule a bit.  I’m feeling good, feeling inspired, and working, working, on my writing. So here’s to hoping the wave of inspiration that hit me continues on. And in the meantime bring on the coffee. Please.

Hope everyone has a great week. xx

Ahhh Calgon, “Take me away”. Some tag lines  NEVER get old.  I have used and loved Calgon for years. Isn’t it like every girls first perfume? It’s like a right of passage to wear Calgon I think.  I have found that even as I get older Calgon is still a prevalent brand in my life. Not only is it affordable, it also ACTUALLY smells good. And you cannot beat the travel size body sprays which are ideal for tossing in any kind of bag.  My favorite Calgon scent is Hawaiian Ginger. It’s light, beachy, and just the right amount of fruity. I keep mine at my desk at work and I swear I have gotten so many compliments on smelling nice and I always say exactly what it is.  For around $6 dollars who can even complain?

And the sets? I love sets of anything. I am a total sucker for a deal and variety. Calgon NEVER disappoints with these either. And if you don’t like a scent? Give it to your friend.

I am also a huge fan of any type of bath products and Calgon also has a great variety of these to choose from as well. I was lucky to be sent the new Nourishing Body Creme in both my favorite Hawaiian Ginger and Tropical Dream. Tropical Dream smells better than your favorite suntan oil and is way more luxurious. The lotion is creamy, yet not heavy and leaves your skin super, super silky.  The consistentcy perfectly matches a lot of way more pricey body creams/butters.

I have to work a catering job tonight and I am not too pleased about it at the moment. The money of course will be great, but I am rather enjoying lolly  gagging around my house.  My neighbor across the street is having a yard sale and I fully intend on rummaging through her stuff, but for the moment I am content with watching the shoppers out the window over my kitchen sink. It’s a beautiful day. And why do I feel like I am always doing laundry? It’s not even Mike’s that I am doing, it’s my own! And yet I feel like I am always wearing the same things.  If I ever have a lot of money I will hire a laundress, and I will pay her HANDSOMELY.  For now I am left with Miss Coco Chanel as my only helper

Lately I have been misplacing the weirdest things. Or I swear I have a house gnome that steals them.  Today it was a workout DVD that I was ACTUALLY going to do and a deck of tarot cards.  I mean really? Where the hell did the two of those things go? The other day it was  a bottle stopper and lysol spray. If it’s not a gnome, I could potentially just be losing it.

And finally, I have cemented my status as the coolest kid in the office with the purchase of my new lunchbag. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

**I love all the chupacabra stories/and sightings. So interesting. Who doesn’t love a little mystery.

**I have actually resumed working on a short story I started, and it’s weird because now, I actually see the paths for the main characters starting to unfold a bit.

**This weather is making me want to chop all my hair off but I know the second I do, I will be instantly pissed.

**My sister and I are going to David’s Bridal tonight to look at dresses for the first time. I will be taking xanax, even though it is only to get a few ideas, I LOATHE being followed around by pushy sales reps.

**I could browse books on Amazon for HOURS.

**My concentration level is at an all time low.

**I’m taking a James Joyce course in the fall, anyone have a suggestion on what to read to prep myself for it?

**I have been reminded this week again why I prefer having guy friends over girl friends.

**I am surrounded by psychos.

**I have had the same netflix movie for like a month. I suck.

**I refuse to waste energy on negative people.

**I’m ready for the weekend. Now.

xoxo
