If everything goes according to my plan, I hope to find a reasonably priced wedding dress for only a couple hundred dollars. If I can accomplish this feat, I am buying these. Or something as equally as amazing.

This Has….
Been stuck in my head. All Day. Don’t even act like you don’t love it. You do. And you know every word. And I bet you even turn it up. And I KNOW you remember when Kids Incorporated did it. That was the shit.
Oh and you’re welcome for this too.
Beautiful Monday
Hard Candy has always been a favorite cosmetic line of mine. I began my love affair with the brand first with a few basic eyeshadows. I think I first became interested due to the super cute and compact case that that the shadows came in.
They were baby pink, baby blue, and even minty green andthe shadow was protected neatly inside the mini compact with more than just a flimsy plastic barrier like so many shadows have. But I digress. After the shadows, I moved on to Hard Candy’s lip gloss. Then I discovered the ADORABLE sets that contained shadows, glosses, and more in one tidy package.

Because I am always being drawn to combo sets and great packaging, I was hooked. The fact that the packaging is always so put together, bright without being busy, and fun, just makes the products even more irresistible. Cute packaging and high quality, FUN products? Say no more! I’m sold. The fantastic team at Hard Candy was kind enough to send me over a few products from their Spring line to review. I’m so glad they did because my knowledge of the line has certainly increased way beyond just shadows and lip glosses! The newer products still have the clever names and the fun presentation, but the new line is covered in a classic, yet edgy and lacey script. I love the script because it gives the products a great dimension that does not deter from the clean, crisp packaging. Like I said before, the packaging never takes away from what is inside, but instead merely adds to the excitement of opening it.
The best part of seeing and trying the new Spring line to me was the discovery of the Hard Candy So Baked Bronzer. I tried the color,”Tropics”, and for fair skin like mine it was JUST the right amount of color and shimmer for my face. Not once did I catch a glimpse of myself and have to rub in a patch that went on too heavy. It blended seamlessly with my fair skin. The coolest part about the product is that it can be used wet or dry. This is a great option because you can determine just how intense you want your bronzing to be. I highly would suggest for newbies and veterans of bronzing powders to give So Baked Bronzer a try.
And for all you lip gloss lovers out there check out Plexi Gloss. A super glossy and shiny gloss that is not overly sticky. I tried the color “Mauve-Alous” and loved it. Again, it was just the right amount of color and shine for my face. And I know everyone has had issues with super sticky lipgloss and that is not the case with Hard Candy’s Plexi Gloss at all.

The last product I got to try was the Hot Smudge line, smudge, shadow, and blend combo. I pride myself on being knowledgeable when it comes to eye makeup tricks and products and I was a little unsure what exactly to do with this product when I first saw it. The answer I discovered is that there is no ONE way to use this product. A slim brush with a smudge tip on one end and a fine liner brush on the other, allows for you to choose which way to apply each color. I tried “Rocker Chick” and was pleasantly surprised to find that this duo was not only fun to use and look at but also very durable. And this is coming from someone who has NO luck most of the time with creme eye shadows. I have an affinity for black ANYTHING when it comes to makeup so if you love the smokey eye look, “Rocker Chick” contains a jet black and a deep forest green, which might I add, looked awesome with my light eyes. I can’t wait to see what other shades this product comes in.
And with me always being a fan of anything that glitters, I am dying to try a few more treats from Hard Candy namely: the Glitz Stick Sparkling Crayon, Foiled Again Metallic Creme Shadow, and Lash Tinsel Glitter Mascara. And of course, restocking on Hard Candy’s glitter nail polish of course! And yes, I am also dying to try some Eye Tattoo Press on Shadows.

And guess what you can also pick up Hard Candy at Walmart
Thoughts on a Thursday
**Houston today!!!! My ten-year old niece has already called me this morning shouting about how excited she is and I cannot wait to get down there. I haven’t seen my brother and the kids since Christmas so this trip is LONG over due.
**I love airports and travelling.
**I always manage to get sick BEFORE I travel not after, which is really annoying.
**Wedding ceremony site has been picked. So I have church and hall. Now we just have to do about 10 million other things.
**My sister likes to send me texts when she is on vacation and I’m at work. I send pics back to her but mine are of me making faces at her in my cube, not sitting poolside with a drink. LOL
**Waking up way before your alarm goes off during an awesome thunderstorm is the best.
**I’m very lucky to have a man who ignores my moodiness and lets me be.
**One of my favorite things in the world is sitting down to reading a book and finishing it in one sitting.
**Hearty grain English muffins are terrible and taste like sandpaper.
**I hope Mike now knows not to leave our puppy alone and not in her crate.
**Bummed I didn’t feel the earthquake in Cleveland yesterday.
**Started my first short story in years. People tell me they are interested in the characters. Now, I just have to figure out what to DO with them.

**Have some pretty exciting things coming up and I’m pumped.
**Just read about Asian carp possibly invading the Great Lakes and now I’m all creeped out.
**Somehow I always manage to pick up other people’s negative energy.
**Why do people have to hate on others when things go well? Shouldn’t you be happy for others success?
That’s all for now! xoxox
Oh The Places You’ll Go
Everyone has a list of locations they would like to travel to. Some distant and exotic, some not too far away. I think having travel goals is important. Like any other goal, it throws something out into the universe to attain. And even if I never get to half of these places, I enjoy thinking about them and learning about them. And there are some, like Paris, that I will make SURE I get to even if it takes me 15 years to save. I will go. Maybe it’s because I’m getting out of town on Thursday and FINALLY heading to Houston, but I just feel inspired when I travel. I love it. I always have. From my first plane ride, to back seat trips in the family car with my sister Holly and my parents, I have always loved to be on the go. Some people hate travel for work, I personally think I would love it. Sure it probably gets old, but I would be so thankful to see all the sights and soak up the inspiration and experiences while there. So here’s my list, in no particular order of places I would like to travel to in the near future and distant future.
Paris. I want to eat macaroons, drink wine, and eat cheese. pick up French fashion magazines and walk along the streets. And shop. That’s it.
San Francisco. While I would love to go to LA just for the experience, I would vacation in San Francisco. I want to go to Haight. I want to shop at City Lights and feel the energy of the Beats. I want to walk up hill for miles and stare at the Golden Gate bridge.
New York City. After a horrible snowstorm thwarted my birthday weekend getaway to the Big Apple, I want to go even more than ever. I was so close. Except I am a bit afraid that I won’t ever want to come home.
Denver. I have family here now and for no particular reason at all, it’s a place I have always wanted to see. I want mountains and open air. There is just something romantic and glamorous about heading out West.

Las Vegas. I have never been and I think at 26 years old, I’m LONG overdue. Trashy people, gambling, shopping, tackiness galore, and sequins and sparkles?? I need to be there.
Italy. Probably Rome. But anywhere really.
Stonehenge and Glastonbury. I’ve always been attracted to Stonehenge. My ancestors are from these parts, going WAAAAYYYYY back, and I wonder if it’s just that connection I feel, or if it’s just the ideas and myths that surround the super famous area. Maybe it’s just the fanciful hope that a form of the mythical land of Avalon exists. Or maybe it’s the all the Arthurian legends. Well whatever it is, I need to go.

Where would you like to go and why?
Beautiful Monday
Anyone who fills up shopping carts on http://www.sephora.com knows half the fun is choosing three samples at the end of your shopping trip. SO fun. It’s brilliant marketing in my opinion, becuase a lot of the samples are products that most shoppers may not have ever even used let alone heard of. That’s how my last sample experience with Sephora ended. One of the samples I chose was by the company Fresh, (whom I had never really heard of), and the product was called Twilight Freshface Glow. More than just a highlight cream, Twilight Freshface glow is an awesome primer to throw on before foundation or powder. After using it for a bit, I would even say it’s doable to wear alone on the face. My skintone is often uneven, and this really helped to balance. I also found, when running low on the bottle, that using just a bit on my cheekbones and under my brows, the product worked perfectly to add just a dash of shimmer and brightness to my face. After application, my skin was smoother, even, and my pores were minimized on my nose. And who doesn’t love a little shimmer and glow? The $36.00 price tag for the full sized product may seem a little steep, but considering how little is actually needed to achieve awesome results, it all evens out. A drop smaller than a dime is all you even need for all over coverage and if you are only using Twilight Freshface Glow to highlight, you need even less. (Fresh also makes a primer with bronzing action, High Noon Freshface Glow and also one for the smoothing of imperfections, Rose Freshface Primer. )And to the best of my knowledge, aquired from trolling the makeup aisles at a few different stores, there really isn’t a comparable product available. So if you are looking for smooth, even, and radiant skin, this product by Fresh is for sure worth the money.

Sanrio Doc Martens
I may be a little behind in this post but in telling my friend Emily, a huge Sanrio/Hello Kitty junkie about them last night, I knew I had to post it. If she didn’t know, and she knows all the Hello Kitty products, for example, she just showed me Hello Kitty Motor Oil I kid you not, so maybe there are other fans out there that haven’t seen these shoes yet either. Sanrio did a collection of Doc Martens. They will be available this summer, I would imagine soon, but am not sure when. I am obsessed with the white ones. Like I need them. AHHH. So for all you Sanrio fans, feast your eyes on these amazing boots. I think the bow is what gets me in all honesty. Too cute.
Check out what NYLON Magazine said about the boots below!
If Money Didn’t Matter
We’d all be working jobs that we felt passionate about. Jobs that made us feel alive. Or we would have no job at all other than leading a good existence.
So who wants to pay my bills so I can go find out what I am meant to do with my life? Thanks. ; )
Have a great weekend everyone!!
xoxo
Thoughts on a Thursday
** I watched “Hot in Cleveland” last night and while it had some kinks, most pilots do, I enjoyed it and will watch again.
**Don’t people understand that celebrities have amazing bodies because they can drink aloe juice and eat tofu only for a month and wig out on whoever they see cuz they are so hungry and no one cares? If I drank water with lemon only for a month I would tear out all my hair and probably go psychotic on people. I’m crabby and mean if I don’t eat. Also, most normal people do not have 2 time to workout for 2 hours a day.
**I’m learning with planning a wedding that sometimes, even though it KILLS you, you need to do things for yor family and not yourself. Grin and bear it.
**A lot of people have a massive sense of entitlement that does not need to be there.
**I wish I worked for Oprah.
**I feel like there is always constantly something to spend my money on. And it’s not even fun stuff! So what the hell do I buy?
**This is my second week of packing my lunch every day and it really is amazing how much lunches can cost if you eat out.
**I miss smoking.
**I watched the September Issue and was bored with it.
**Chasing your dog down the street half dressed, with wet hair, is NOT an ideal way to spend a morning before work.
**I feel like I spend more time around or worrying about people I don’t even care about than those that I do.
**Sometimes, no matter how bad it sucks, you just have to let a friendship go. People move in different directions. And sometimes, more often than not, those directions do not meet.
**I am thankful for the friends in my life who have always been there even if we don’t talk every day or haven’t seen each other in months or years. Those to me are the people that will always be around.
**I bitch a lot and I don’t care. HA.
**Sometimes I have no idea what I am even doing with myself. Or even what I WANT to do with myself.
** Mike and I are going to Houston a week from today. And I cannot WAIT to get the hell out of here.
Beautiful Monday
One thing I never leave the house without is mascara. I have long lashes to begin with, but I feel positively out of sorts without mascara on. To me it is instant glam and instant drama to an otherwise bare face. And because I only sometimes wear fake eyelashes, (which still need a good coat of mascara!) and I can’t get eyelash extensions now, (Oh but I will someday!) I rely on my mascara to play up my eyes. Sometimes I think that after using a brand for a very long time, my eyelashes stop working with it. Almost like they adapt to it. So, instead of being a serial dater, I am instead, a serial mascara brand chaser. I have used so many different kinds, I would be able to recognize the packaging if all labels were removed. I can tell you what brand will work for your desired effect and even which way to hold your brush for the best results. My lashes do not like waterproof mascara and they do not like curved brushes. Who am I to argue? So when my last tube ran out I decided to switch brands again. This time, I decided on a familiar hot pink tube with a lime green top. Maybelline Great Lash. BUT this was not just ANY Great Lash. This was Great Lash BIG. While familiar with Great Lash, I had never seen BIG before. I had to have it. And at the affordable price of under $5.00 how could I deny myself? Great Lash usually holds the top honor of “Best Mascara” in the annual beauty awards that most prominent fashion and beauty magazines put out. If Great Lash is good enough for stylists and makeup artists, I should totally be in business. Great Lash BIG, my choice of color was Blackest Black, has a larger brush than most mascaras. This brush, simply put, is AWESOME. The bristles are thick, yet evenly spaced, which allows for even application. No lash, no matter how small, will be missed by this brush. Great Lash BIG lifts and holds each lash into instant drama. And it STAYS PUT. Love it. Is it possible that this brand just caused me to stop my infatuation with trying new mascara brands? Indeed it is possible! And for those that prefer waterproof, Great Lash BIG Waterproof is also available. Looking for a new brand? I suggest you try this!
