Monthly Archives: April 2010

**I realized today yesterday that I have been following two of my favorite bloggers for almost 5 years. Their respective evolutons have been amazing, (I was reading through archives the other day). One I am happy with, the other I’m losing interest interest in following fast.

**Moving was a success. But moving sucks. And after finally finishing our kitchen last night, I now have located all of our silverware.

**I don’t really understand what Arizona is trying to do with their immigration law?

**I’m ready to get away for a weekend. Soon. Like now.

**As I get older, I am so thankful for my male friends, because with them we have some beers, talk some shit, laugh and call it a day, no drama, no obsessing over the most acinie things.

**I throw up via GChat at least  twice a week. Thank god for V.

**It’s amazing how much CRAP you accumulate over 26 years.

**I need a new cocktail for the summer.

**Toasted English Muffins with peanut butter for breakfast=awesome.

**Sitting through presentations in class is SO boring. And it’s terrible when people in the class ask people like detailed questions just to trip them up. WHO CARES. Let the people present!!

**I have been non stop for over a week. Hello stress? I have the eye twitch to prove it.

**My anxiety has been horrible all weekend. I am very much so looking forward to the weekend.

**I’m getting sick of Facebook.

My left eye has been twitching since Sunday. I think it’s stress? Who knows. All I do know is that it is REALLY annoying.

Sorry for the lack of updates. We are finally in our house and it is coming together nicely.  It’s so nice to not climb three flights of stairs every day and night and it’s so nice to walk into my own backyard. We met the neighbors on either side, and the little kids next door brought us over hot cookies because we were “all working so hard”. Too cute. I bought them bubbles and sidewalk chalk and made them brownies to say thank you.

The semester is winding down THANK GOD, and boxes are being unpacked. I must say I am looking forward to coming home from work and having nothing I need to do but instead just doing what I want.

A couple more weeks, I can get through it. And maybe, just maybe, my eye will stop twitching by then.

**Moving sucks.

**When you are home time flies, while at school or work, time does not move.

**Is anyone ever really caught up?

**My very pregnant friend Lindsay is currently in the hospital close to giving birth. Well wishes to her!!

**After watching Food Inc. I am very turned off by chicken and need to look into local resources to find grass fed options. Or just stop eating it all together.

**I hope my friends don’t mind when I give them veggies and herbs from my garden all summer long.

**Earth Day is awesome.

**I would like this semester to be over so craft nights, weeknight dinner parties, random hangovers, concerts, reading two books a week, watching movies, and lounging guilt free can all begin again.

**I love DIY websites, even if I never do anything off of them, I love looking.

**The Cavs are sweet. GO CAVS!

Sorry for the lack of updates and for the lack of anything interesting to say. In the process of packing up our apartment and getting ready to move this weekend. I cannot WAIT to get in our house. In addition to being on the phone constantly, huge piles of paperwork, and two crazy cats running all over the place, I am also trying to wrap up the semester and work.  So yeah, basically if I don’t end up in the mental ward I will most def get sick at some point soon. Anyways, cheers to everyone getting all their stuff accomplished. And to my fellow crazies who do a million things at one time?  We’ll sleep when we’re dead no? : )

my helper miss coco chanel

This is so random, but I love looking at this kind of stuff. It’s probably because I just have massive amounts of chaos on every imaginable surface I can find.  When we move into our house I am going to for sure spend some time arranging all my things. These images give me hope that maybe I can aspire to this kind of prettiness and order someday. And even the chaotic ones are beautiful too!! : )

happy friday everyone!

**I am SUPER excited for the start of Cavs playoff basketball this weekend! GO CAVS!

**I love when good friends come into town. And I also love that I will be taking him to his very first Cavs playoff game ever.

**I need a tan.

**It’s very disheartening to get little feedback on an assignment you spent 12 hours working on.

**I am in love with audio books.

**If you are interested in the paranormal I highly recommend reading “Ghosts Among us” by James Van Praagh. Awesome book.

**If you don’t like a good friends significant other, you are pretty much doomed to fake it for the rest of your life in order to keep that friend in your life. If you are opinionated and don’t like to hold back, (like me), this can be a daily problem.

**I find that I attract people with negative energy. I need to learn to avoid letting these people bring me down.

**Shopping on www.modcloth.com makes me WAY happy.

**I cannot wait for this semester to be over.

**Sometimes all you need is dinner with a great friend to make you feel like a million bucks.

** That cigarette I had yesterday HURT. but DAMN did it taste good. *I like one every now and then I cannot lie.

**Cheesey crackers with peanut butter centers are amazing.

**After packing 4 boxes of books, filling a huge box with books for Half Price Books, and still having to pack and go through 4 shelves of books, I now realize I may have a book addiction.

**I have no desire to work when the weather is nice.

**I am looking forward to being able to garden in my own backyard.

**I am losing ability to hold my already weak poker face when some people tell me stories I do not care about.

**My family is awesome.

**I am looking forward to lots of weekend trips after the semester ends.

Lots of daydreams today. Not really about anything. Just feeling kinda out of it. Not in a bad way either.  As weird as it may sound, gloomy and rainy days inspire me, so the fact that it is the PERFECT gloomy day out might have something to do with the fact that I am a total space case today.  In the land of daydreams there is little room for complainers, which I think I have been attracting lately, and I think that may be why I’m zoning out in an effort to avoid this negative energy.  I can’t wait to be done with work and school so I can go home, get comfortable, continue to dream and do some reading and writing.  Hopefully, the rain will continue.

I have a huge assignment due for one of my classes tomorrow. I haven’t started. Well, I grabbed all  sources and notes and placed them next to the computer if that counts.  It probably doesn’t. So instead I am sitting here in an oatmeal and honey face mask, drinking coffee, listening to Bat for Lashes, and watching a newly green tree outside my window. Typical.

Oh well. I’ll get it done. I always do. And Sundays are meant for rest right? So I’m enjoying it. It’s still early. I have hope.  The candles are lit, the incense is burning, and I’m seeking some inspiration to write and outline, an abstract and a 10 item annotated bibliography.  With those exciting tasks ahead of me it’s no wonder I’m in no rush to begin or that I need some inspiration to help me along. Ahh the joys of being a student.

Happy Sunday everyone. Enjoy it.

xoxo

**Eating healthy is not something that is going to be magically easy. This is going to be a constant effort that will include slip-ups and I must not be so hard on myself. I also must stop thinking about it every second. It will get easier

**Walking/Jogging every day has really made me feel great the past week and a half. Because I sit at a desk all day, I am now finding as many reasons as possible to get up and move during my day. Hopefully by the start of summer I will be able to run consistently again.

**School is killing me this semester. But it will all be worth it. Even if I rip my hair out and have cross eyes from reading.

**Dull headaches are the WORST.

**Audio books are my new best friend. I have been FLYING through them. However this fact makes me sad to realize how much time I actually spend in the car.

**I need a project.

**I have given thought to fasting one day a week.

**Time for new ink.

**If you have a violent cough, stay home from work.

**I hate that most online writing jobs are a scam.

**Shopping sometimes does make everything okay. So does picking up 2 pairs of leggings, a pair of capris, a notebook, a button up, and two t-shirts for 50 dollars total.

**The grilled turkey salad from Aladdin’s is for sure my new favorite thing ever.

**I don’t care who Tiger slept with.

**I will not be playing the song Celebration at my wedding.

**The week of payday is always the slowest in the entire world.

**I am excited to go to Ikea for the first time on Saturday.

**I love checking in with my favorite bloggers everyday.

**Cleveland is pretty in the sunshine yet I still love the rain.

**We move into our house in two weeks and I have packed two boxes of DVD’s. That’s it.

**I am going to buy hair extensions and give them a try. I want mermaid hair.

**I am making a valiant effort to stop being so lazy and self-indulgent.

**Soon, I will have a puppy of my own.

**Daydreaming is a favorite past time of mine.

**Everything is better with feathers, lace, sparkles, glitter, and gems.

xoxo
